Ards Camera Club snaps up NI Trophy

Ards Camera Club is now the 'Top Novice Club' in the Northern Ireland Photographic Association (NIPA) inter-club competition.
The club has been going for over 50 years and continues to attract new members of all abilities and ages by offering opportunities to learn, compete and have fun. Club chairman, Ian McCormick said: “The Advanced group was fourth overall in Northern Ireland out of 28 clubs but we are delighted to be overshadowed by our novices”

Ards Camera Club wins
‘Top Novice Club’ award!
The ‘Top Print and PDI Competition’ on Friday 30 March 2012 was the final event in the Northern Ireland Photographic Association (NIPA) calendar. Ards Camera Club were delighted to win the ‘Top Novice Club’ section of the NIPA inter-club competitions.
Awards also went to Stephen Weatherall with a Highly Commended for his PDI entitled ‘Thinking Time’ and a Commended to Sinclair (Rusty) Adair for his Monochrome print entitled ‘The Rear View’.
Ards also achieved fourth overall in the Inter-club competitions out of a total of 28 Northern Ireland clubs.
Thanks go to all those club members who entered the competitions and had work selected for going forward to the Inter-club competitions.
